I was over at VOA a couple of weeks ago to check out the pitcher plants one of the rare carnivores plants that grows in our area. When I went back last week they were doing a controlled burn of a portion of the grounds. In some videos of the burn, I thought I might see some photos for later. I went back last week and took some shots of the stunned pitchers against the blackened ground of the speedy burn. The burning maintains the unique environment of a southern prairie that is the reason for protecting the gamelands. The one green photo is before the burn.
